it's a shame the overall vibes around Telegram are weird and/or rancid because it's one of the best social tech products around

the app is so polished in a way most apps just aren’t these days. you can always tell who’s never used it because they insist Signal is fine

I used it, I don't like exactly that. Signal with Material 3 looks great, there is no need to overcomplicate it. I prefer UNIX philosophy, an app should not do more than one thing, Telegram is trying to do too many things (apart from the security/ethical concerns)
